This is in regards to the waitlist for the website.
As I stated in the Newsletter message, that (I hope you read) no one should cancel their registration between the hours of 6 pm to 6 am. This gives the day time hours to check emails for the notification that you can register for the event.
If you know you are on the waitlist, you MUST be aware and check your email daily to see if you have a notification to add yourself to the registration. This is your responsibility. When you do receive the notice it gives you the option to "Register Now" or "Remove me from the Waitlist".
You can only register through the link given in the email, not on the calendar.
If you do not register within the 8 hour time frame, the list will automatically go to the next person on the waitlist. This is the only fair way to handle our events.
Interest Chairs, if you choose, you can call the next person on the waitlist when you are notified of a cancellation. This may help people until everyone becomes more familiar with the system. But, always remind them...they must register through the link from the email....not the calendar.
One Suggestion: Have email notifications set up on your phone. This way you will see when NFC sends you an email. I do this with my email. Today's world we are all pretty connected to our phones. If you need help please reach out.
