The Charlotte region is growing by 117 new people every day, according to the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.  This was personified by one of our lovely guests at the September Welcome Coffee.  She arrived only two weeks ago.  She is now an NFC member after finding us online and attending the Welcome Coffee.
 
Kudos to VP of Membership Marie Shea and the Welcome Coffee Committee for orchestrating an outstanding event this month.  Many thanks also to the board members and interest chairs who attended and presented during our first Welcome Coffee program for this membership year.
 
New Friends provides a small community where friendships grow.  The Welcome Coffees launch our new members, but also of most importance each month is the membership luncheon which brings a large swath of our community together due to its larger capacity.  The President makes important announcements, interest group chairs share news of upcoming events, and items are brought to a vote from time to time as all members present and in good standing form a quorum and are eligible to vote.  The luncheons are our "town square" where you will meet old friends and welcome the new members, a place we can continue to bond and thrive.  October provides a unique opportunity as you will read below to join as a community at a very reasonable cost and have a barrel full of fun playing Bingo.

Our Club is Growing!
 
Our Welcome Coffee held on September 12 at the SouthPark Library was a huge success!  Thank you to all who attended and presented information about the wonderful opportunities that NFC offers.  Special thanks to Jeanne Deiger, our Webmaster, for her informative presentation, and also to Kim Thorpe and Carol Yeager, our Welcome Coffee hostesses, and to all who brought delicious snacks.
