Weekly President’s Message

October 21, 2024

Good Day Friends,

 - The November newsletter was sent to you early, however, the sign-up day will still be on Wednesday, October 23, starting at 9:00 am as per usual.

- Registrations are now closed for the October luncheon as the caterer has been given final numbers. For those attending the BINGO luncheon on Thursday, these are directions to guide you. You will turn onto World Reach Drive and go straight back to the circle where you will make a slight right turn. After making the turn, you can turn left into the Employee Parking Lot. There will be signs along the way to guide you. Once you park your car, you will follow the walkway to the back patio doors. Upon entering you will be able to purchase your BINGO cards and pick up your name tag. We are looking so forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions, please contact Monica Taft, 704-612-3704.

- Bunco 2 Co-Chair Nancy Hunt has notified us the group is taking a break in November, but mark your calendars for the Bunco 2 Christmas cookie exchange on December 16th. Lunch Bunch 2 is also taking a break in November and December.

-The meal train for NFC member Kathy Reynolds is being extended. Kathy went through a lengthly cancer surgery on October 10, and has learned that she has yet another detection in her colon. She lives alone and is very appreciative of the meals being dropped off to her home. The link to sign up to provide a meal is https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/gd9dim. Restaurant gift cards are also an option. Contact Care & Concern Chair Jan Pasek at 404-276-0984 if you have any questions.

- Cards of comfort may also be sent to NFC member Annette Berman at 3525 East Sandy Trail, Indian Land, SC 29707. Annette has leukemia and has requested no more treatments.

-And, as the days grow shorter and cooler, holiday spirit is in the air. Think about purchasing a ticket for yourself and a loved one to enjoy the sounds of the season at the 70th Annual Singing Christmas Tree at the CPCC Dale Halton Theater on December 14 at 3 pm. Registration is open on the NFC website for this date. Tickets are discounted at $45.00 per person.
