Matinee Madams will be viewing The Last Showgirl set in Las Vegas starring Pamela Anderson in a role that is getting her a lot of Oscar buzz for Best Actress, The movie will be located at the Regal Stonecrest at 12:25 pm tomorrow. The New York Times review states, ""The Last Showgirl, a generous and sweetly elegiac ode to the women who helped build that gaudy oasis... After a long slide toward irrelevance, though, showgirl Shelly's "Le Razzle Dazzle" show is on its last fishnet leg, leaving her at an impasse." There is still opportunity to sign up.
Samba meets tomorrow also, Tuesday, January 14, from 11 am - 2 pm. Co-Chairs Dee Drobonick and Chris Green would love to have more members or potential members register and join this fun Canasta game with a twist. This group meets at the Olive Garden in Pineville.
In the Know will be facilitated by Marie Shea on February 12, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the South County Regional Library on 5801 Rea Road. The date is open now on the NFC calendar to register. The session will feature experts on the topics of planning for your future in retirement including:
- Retirement Concern & Common Mistakes in The Retirement Red Zone
- Planning for Future Health Needs
- Gifting Strategies for Grandchildren
- Annuities & Strategies for Minimizing Taxation of Social Security
