There are a few spots remaining for our February 27 membership luncheon at Bonefish located at Pineville-Matthews Road. You can expect delicious food and fun & games. Hope to see you there!
The Run Jen Run 5K & Festival is to be held on March 8, and NFC volunteers are needed to help implement packet pick ups for participants outside South Park mall in the parking lot between Symphony Circle and Dick's Sporting Goods. You can now register to help on the NFC website, either Friday, March 7 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm OR Saturday, March 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 am. So far, I am feeling pretty lonely as the sole registrant on Friday. We need 3 more members to join me. Four members are needed on Saturday. You early risers could have a fun morning putting "minga" in action and then treat yourselves to breakfast after! Go NFC Go and volunteer today! Questions? More fun and informative opportunities in coming weeks with space for more registrants as of this writing:
- There is one slot left for the Crafty Creations session on making Boho Necklaces on Wednesday this week.
- There are 4 slots left to play Scrabble on February 4th starting at 12:30 pm.
- There are several slots left to play Samba on February 11 starting at 11 am.
- Ample room for more attendees to register for the In the Know session to be facilitated by Marie Shea on February 12, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the South County Regional Library on 5801 Rea Road. Effective strategies in retirement, common concerns and mistakes to avoid will be addressed. Also, key insights on future health needs, including must-know information about long-term care insurance, plus thoughtful gifting strategies to enrich your grandchildren's lives will be shared.
- A few spots are left in Lunch Bunch 1 & 2 in February.
- Remember to join the Waitlist for an event you want to attend. Often slots open. Also, cancel in a timely manner so waitlisters have a chance to take your spot.
