Weekly President’s Message
February 17, 2025
Good Day, Friends,
Matinee Madams Chair Karen Mocker is introducing a new method to inform movie lovers about the monthly movies she will offer. It has been challenging to designate a specific day of the month to attend a movie as theater schedules change frequently at the last minute. From now on movies will be announced here in the President's Message and/or by Eblast due to the unique timing and circumstances of this particular interest group. "The Unbreakable Boy" will be offered to members at Regal Stonecrest on Friday, February 21, at 11:30 am. Anyone who wants to go will need to contact Karen at (434)906-7761 or kmock756@gmail.com instead of registering on the online. The day of the movie, everyone should meet at the theater by 11:15 am to buy tickets together. "The Unbreakable Boy" is the story of parents who learn that their son is autistic plus has brittle bone disease. They initially worry about their son's future, but due to a father's growing faith and a son's incredible spirit, the family becomes "unbreakable". This is an extraordinary true story in which a family learns together that every day can be the best day of their lives.
Nominating Committee Chair Lora Castello asks that members interested in taking on leadership responsibilities in New Friends of Carolina's next membership year, please contact her at 251-716-8973 OR loracastello@gmail.com by February 25.
